  • APRA heavy-duty brake training coming up in late June


    The Automotive Parts Rebuilders Association (APRA) is gearing up for its Heavy Duty Brake Clinic on June 26 and 27. The clinic will be at the Holiday Inn Chalreston Airport and Convention Center in Charleston, S.C.

    Alternative fuels training coming up in Minnesota


    The Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of Minnesota (AASP-MN) has updated its slate of training for repair shop employees with management and technical training. On May 6, AASP-MN will host Alternative Fuels, presented by Jim Simnick, technical advisor, BP Global Fuels Technology. The course will be held from 6:30-9 p.m., at Dunwoody College of Technology in Minneapolis.

    Hydrogen products on display at next week's expo


    This year's National Hydrogen Association's (NHA) Annual Conference will feature near-to-market products in its Hydrogen Expo US. The conference is Sunday through Tuesday at the Sacramento Convention Center. Expo attendees will have the chance to see real-life applications of hydrogen technologies and to drive one of 15 hydrogen vehicles. On Monday, admission to Hydrogen Expo and participation in the Ride & Drive are free to the public.

    Permatex announces new training program for student techs


    Permatex Inc. will introduce the 2008 edition of its new training initiative for student technicians during the 2008 National Automotive Technology Competition (NATC) finals, which will be held March 25 and 26, at the New York International Automobile Show in New York City.

    Italian trade show features dedicated engine overhaul showcase


    A hall dedicated entirely to rebuilding and reconditioning engines will be featured at Autopromotec, to be held in Bologna, Italy from May 20 to 24, 2009. The feature is the result of a renewed collaboration between Promotec and FIR (Italian Federation of Engine Rebuilders).
