Valvoline recently announced a scholarship program to aid students in pursuit of an automotive technical career.
Known as the Valvoline Automotive Technical Scholarship, the program will award five $1,000 scholarships and a $10,000 grand-prize scholarship. The scholarship program is being offered to youths between the ages of 16 and 25 who are planning to attend an accredited technical institution or vocation technical institution.
Scholarship entries will be accepted beginning May 7; the deadline for entry is Dec. 1. Drawings will be conducted monthly from July 15 through Nov. 15. The $10,000 grand-prize scholarship winner will be selected on or about Dec. 15.
The scholarship prizes are not related to financial need and will be provided directly to the qualified institution as approved by Valvoline for use by the winners, according to the company.
