AEM introduces its Brute Force HD Diesel intake system for the 2006-07 Chevrolet Silverado, Classic 2500 HD and 3500 HD 6.6L LBZ Duramax (part No. 21-9024D). Dyno results and a description of AEM’s dyno and temperature testing procedures, along with a list of applications, are available at www.aempower.com.
Key Features of This System:
Two-piece, lightweight 6063 aluminum inlet tubing
TIG-welded, double “Dog Bone” support brackets and reinforced fittings
High-temperature turbo couplers
Stainless-steel, double-wound clamps
Humongous, oval Diesel DRYFLOW filter
System flows up to 55% more than stock air box intake (Flow testing conducted on Superflow Flow Bench in 1.5” of water)
All Brute Force HD intakes are designed for later-model turbo diesel vehicles with a focus on increasing flow and maintaining low intake air temperatures. All systems are constructed of CNC mandrel-bent 6063 aluminum or roto-molded polypropylene, and feature reinforced brackets and fittings for maximum durability, the company says. AEM also includes a heavy-duty steel heat shield with a powdercoated black crinkle finish, a complete hardware kit and comprehensive installation instructions with every Brute Force HD intake system. Brute Force HD aluminum intakes are available with our new gunmetal two-stage powder coat or mirror-polished finish and polypropylene systems feature a wrinkle black exterior finish.
AEM Brute Force intakes are dyno-tested against the competition to deliver unsurpassed performance. Each system is tuned on the vehicle on the dyno to deliver maximum torque and horsepower, and monitor OBDII sensors, Mass Airflow sensor (MAF) signal voltage and fuel trims during this process to ensure that all readings are within OEM parameters, eliminating the chance of a throwing a check engine light, according to the company.
All AEM intakes include AEM’s DRYFLOW synthetic performance air filter, the first cleanable, reusable performance air filter that does not require oiling to filter and trap dirt and contaminants (more DRYFLOW key features can be found below).
All AEM Brute Force intake systems carry a limited lifetime warranty and are either 50-state legal or pending, excluding “Off Road” only systems which are identified in our application guides. For more information, visit www.aempower.com.
