EcoVision headlights

Release Date:  November 10, 2008

Philips Automotive Lighting North America has launched its new EcoVision line of fuel-saving halogen headlight bulbs. Philips EcoVision's advanced energy-saving technology enables drivers to replace standard bulbs with ones that consume up to 20 percent less power. EcoVision's bulb design uses a high performance filament and a proprietary gas composition that together can help to increase mpg by consuming less power, states the company, which adds that by switching to EcoVision, drivers can save up to four gallons of fuel over the life of the bulbs. By using less gas, drivers using EcoVision reduce their CO2 emissions, helping to fight global warming. Philips EcoVision bulbs are DOT compliant. Based on Philips' recommendation to always replace bulbs in pairs, EcoVision headlamp bulbs are offered in a two-bulb package.
