Instead of having to buy Deutsch Tools as a set of 4-, 8-, 12-, 14-, 16- and 20-gauge wire sizes, Thexton Manufacturing is now making these tools available in the three most popular sizes. Part No. 582 (red plastic) fits 20-gauge wire, Part No. 583 (light blue plastic) fits 16-gauge wire and Part No. 584 (green plastic) fits 14-gauge wire. Deutsch wire terminals have a special security collar that the connector tabs lock against. These tools are designed to slide over the wire in the rear of the connector to release the locking tabs. Deutsch Terminal Removal Tools are designed to fit Deutsch HD10, HD20 and HD30 Series connectors, plus Deutsch Jiffy Splices.
